Some of you may have seen Frank's post earlier today about distributions now being on drupal.org. The announcements about contributions to the community don't stop there. We are very proud to announce a brand new wiki-style product community site! Not only did we consolidate our OpenPublic community site, OpenPublic documentation site, and OpenPublish documentation site into one, we also added more training materials and information for your reference. Our new product community site provides documentation, training materials, and information on how to get involved in the communities around these distributions.

So I can’t tell you how excited I am to go to my first Drupalcon as Community Manager of Phase2! While I attended both Drupalcon DC and Drupalcon San Francisco, I know Drupalcon Denver will give me the opportunity to meet more members of the community and to talk to you about your experience with our products.

It's inevitable. Sure as the Druplicon is blue, my job as Community Manager means that I'll be fielding this question almost daily: "So...when can we expect the next release of Open___?"

Well, it's been a few weeks since the 1st of the year, so of course most of us are either dreading or hoping for the question: "How are you doing with your New Year's resolution?" Today, I'm excited to report on one of mine!

It's been about three months since I joined Phase2 as Community Manager, and I have really appreciated getting to know the needs of the community around Phase2's products and contributed modules. Thank you so much to those of you who have offered your honest -- and at times colorful! -- feedback. Truly, this is how we get better, move forward, and work together. In my last post, I talked about how we planned to respond to the community and about our goal to communicate more about our module contributions and product work. So I'm here to fulfill that promise.

There's nothing like filling a brand new role in an organization. Sure there are the new challenges of uncharted territory, and the opportunity to build a new area of expertise in the company, but the best part is everyone at the office asking "so what do you DO here, again?"
