Today at the SemTech Conference
Yesterday, I mentioned that Phase2's Jeff and Frank will be speaking on a panel this afternoon at the 2009 Semantic Technology Conference. If you are in San Jose, or following the conference from afar, you should also check out Tom Tague's keynote this morning (8:30 AM PDT) on "How Semantic Technologies Introduce a New Paradigm for Interaction." Tague has an incredible ability to explain semantic technologies and their importance to anyone from developers to journalists.
Phase2 has worked with Tague and the Open Calais team, developing Drupal modules for OpenCalais. We are really excited about version 4.1 of Open Calais, which was announced yesterday. Version 4.1 has two particularly great features: social tags (content tagging that is more like a human would tag) and it can extract tags which are written in Spanish. Read more about it here.
