OpenPublic’s Going Beta at DrupalCon
Based on the fact that our newest product, OpenPublic, is all about community -- open-source, data transparency, government publishing, citizen engagement -- we couldn’t think of a better forum to introduce it formally than at DrupalCon 2011.
So we hope you were in Chicago with us today when I took the stage with New York State Senate’s Andrew Hoppin to publicly announce the beta release of OpenPublic, the Drupal distribution specifically for government that is:
- Compliant - It meets stringent standards of security and privacy.
- Flexible - It enables multi-site management and multi-user growth.
- Integrated - It securely shares data with legacy systems when needed.
- Intuitive - It promotes stress-free publishing for content managers.
- Engaging - It encourages public audiences to learn and interact.
During the session, we went through the platform’s features in detail. And you’ll see how that back-end functionality translates to better experiences for constituents on the front-end, where they can engage with integrated social media tools and see data visualized in new ways that promote understanding.
