NodeBolt Module

Eric :

NodeBoltI rolled out a new module called NodeBolt. NodeBolt adds a simple layer of protection as needed. It reminds admins/editors when a node should be handled with a little more care when editing. For the node ids specified by the settings page, NodeBolt adds an extra step when editing.

Check it out and offer suggestions (or patches) if you use it and find something that would be helpful.

great idea

This is a great idea, but I'm kind of sad it's limited to nodes. Just the other day I had an input format get deleted that should never have been deleted. The same thing happens to blocks, periodically, and maybe other settings pages.

I guess if you were to generalize this module too far it would become an equivalent of http://drupal.org/project/helptip or http://drupal.org/project/strongarm but maybe there is room for it to do more without going too far.

Anyway - great idea, thanks for sharing it!
