Another Successful Tech Event: Tech Cocktail DC 4

Liz:

Last night was Tech Cocktail DC4, a networking event for technology enthusiasts and a place for a few startups to get a chance to demo. It was a full house at LeftBank in Adams Morgan, with plenty of socializing and demoing throughout the night. For me, it was a good chance to catch up with people and meet new people.

Tech Cocktail DC4 was just one of many (some weeks almost too many!) successful tech events in the DC region. If you have any interest in technology or the application of technology, you should get to one of DC’s tech events for the great networking and learning opportunities.

The technology community in the DC metro region is unique from other cities I have lived in. I’ve enjoyed watching the community grow to a large regional movement. We (the DC region’s tech community) always make a strong showing at the national conventions and one of our own, Vivek Kundra, DC’s CTO, will be joining the Obama administration to lead Federal e-government initiatives.

And next up, we are hosting DrupalCon, a convention for the open source CMS, Drupal, next week. Aside from attending some great sessions, I look forward to networking even more with the DC tech community.
